Zoe Pedersen specialises in reflexology for mind, body & sole
Our busy lifestyles today place huge demands on our bodies and general wellbeing. Yet there are ways to counterbalance these stresses with a natural approach to health which treats the whole person.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy which is increasingly in demand. It can bring relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions including allergies, high/low blood pressure, digestive problems, migraine, skin disorders and many other health complaints.
At times of stress, illness or injury the body becomes imbalanced. Reflexology is a natural way of restoring these imbalances and allowing your body to heal itself.
What is reflexology
It is a therapy that deals with the principle that there are reflexes in the feet (and hands) that correspond to all of the organs, glands and parts of the body. By stimulating these reflexes, imbalances in your body can be identified and corrected.
What are the benefits
- Stimulates the body’s own healing potential
- Strengthens the immune system
- Reduces stress and tension
- Induces deep relaxation
- Revitalises energy
How many treatments will you need?
Everybody is unique and will respond differently to reflexology. Whilst there are often immediate improvements experienced from reflexology, expect to have 3-4 treatments to see a more significant benefit.
Generally, the longer the condition has been present, the longer it will take to respond. Most conditions will require a course of six treatments, usually weekly.
Even if you do improve after a few visits, it is advisable to keep going to build up your body and prevent any recurring symptoms. You may then choose to have one treatment a month for general maintenance of your wellbeing.
